Is Auschwitz survivor Dr. Hajo G. Meyer a plagiarist?

Recently reading an article by author, journalist and former Middle East Chief Correspondent for British television network ITV, Alan Hart, Anti-Semitism: What it IS and is NOT, I came across a quote attributed to the late Jewish "Auschwitz survivor" Dr. Hajo G. Meyer[1].

The quote is from his 2007 book, The End of Judaism[2], but I know of this quote in a strikingly similar form.

The below is my email to Mr. Hart regarding this.

Dear Mr. Hart,
In your January 30th, 2013 article, Anti-Semitism: What It Is And Is Not, you open with a quote that you attribute to Dr. Hajo Myer.
From your article, the quote reads, “An anti-Semite used to be a person who disliked Jews. Now it is a person who Jews dislike “
You state of the source for this quote the following,
"Those are the words of my dear Jewish friend, Nazi (Auschwitz) holocaust survivor Dr Hajo Myer. They are taken from page 179 of his magnificent book, An Ethical Tradition Betrayed: The End of Judaism (published in 2007)."
I do not own the book you mention, but I would be interested to know if Dr. Myer uses it as his own words or references it as originating elsewhere.
I ask because this quote, in a very slightly modified form originates (as far as my own research reveals) from 2002 by American journalist and writer, Joseph Sobran.
In fact, Sobran used it in 3 instances, see below, that only marginally vary in structure and grammar.
I appreciate any help that you could give me.
Kind regards,
"An anti-Semite is no longer a man who hates Jews, but a man whom Jews hate."
- Joseph Sobran, Sobran's - The Real News of the Month, April 2002, Volume 9, No. 4

"An anti-Semite used to mean a man who hated Jews. Now it means a man who is hated by Jews."
- Joseph Sobran, "For Fear of the Jews," an address to the 14th IHR Conference, June 22nd, 2002, Irvine, California. Published in the August 2002 issue of Sobran's newsletter, and in the May-August 2002 issue of the IHR's (Institute for Historical Review) Journal of Historical Review. For Fear of the Jews was "Expanded from SOBRAN’S, September 2002, pages 3–6, and taken from a speech given at the IHR Conference held in Los Angeles, June 21–23, 2002."

"An "anti-Semite" used to mean a man who hated Jews. Now it means a man who is hated *by* Jews."

Dr. Meyer had also made a similar statement to that of Sobran in 2010,

"Formerly an anti-Semite was somebody who hated Jews because they were Jews and had a Jewish soul. But nowadays an anti-Semite is somebody who is hated by Jews." [3]

It would be interesting to know if Meyer acknowledges the source and gives credit for these words...

As a side, Dr. David E. Duke, Ph.D. made a video about Auschwitz survivor Dr. Hajo G. Meyer's redefinition of the term, "anti-semite." See here.

Dr. Duke adds further commentary here and here

1. Mr. Hart appears to misspell Dr. Meyers sirname, spelling it, Myer. Not realising this at the time, I reflect this in my email to him.

2. First published in Dutch in 2003 as, Het einde van het Jodendom, and in German in 2005 as Das Ende des Judentums.
